A seasoned business leader with a proven track record, Eric’s comprehensive Sales and International business development career covered the telecommunications (Inmarsat, Teleglobe), e-commerce (Mediagrif) and enterprise application (Infor) fields. He further developed his expertise by managing engineering groups (software and hardware) as well as directing manufacturing and supply chain operations in the electronic and digital media fields. As general manager of TouchTunes, Eric was a key member of the team that managed its turn-around and its high value sale to Soros and Searchlight Capital Partners.
GGI Solutions will benefit from his expertise in the areas of businesses with accelerated growth and those operating in multicultural markets.
Eric’s college education in Sciences was rounded up with studies in psychology at Mc Gill University and Business Administration at Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM).
Steve brings over 25 years of global, sales, business development and channel management experience in software, hardware and consulting services with both Fortune 500 and entrepreneurial companies. A management executive with a proven track record of delivering results and managing change. Mr. Birrell excels in developing go-to-market strategies that create compelling value propositions that deliver sustainable results.
During his years in the technology industry in Canada, U.S. and internationally, Steve has held numerous executive positions. This experience included his roles as, Executive Director Global Business Development, Iridium Communication, President and CEO, AVEnue RFID, Vice President and General Manager National Accounts, TouchTunes Interactive Networks, Vice President Global Sales, SkyWave Mobile Communications and National Vice President Sales, PeopleSoft Canada.
An accomplished Finance leader with over 25 years of diversified financial and operations experience in various global settings including Nortel Networks (Telecommunication), Flextronics (Contract Manufacturing) and Nortek (industrial).
Mario is a result oriented leader capable of driving both operational and financial initiatives to support growth while containing costs. Mario excels in process improvement and is recognized for the performance of the teams he creates. Mario holds a bachelor of commerce with a major in Finance from Université du Québec à Montréal.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
William Meder is the chairman of the board of GGI Solutions. He oversees the strategic direction of the company and acts as advisor on technology investment, leadership initiatives and growth opportunities.
Prior to joining GGI, William has held several positions as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Director or Chairman as well as a Venture Advisor to La Caisse de Dépôt et Placement du Québec and Vantage Point Venture Partners in Silicone Valley. Since starting his career at IBM, where he held several senior positions, William has continued to excel and actively contribute to the growth of multiple multi-million dollar companies.
GGI will benefit from his strategic leadership skills and his vast experience across multiple industries including Satellites, Manufacturing and Retail, plus several Hardware and Software Technology businesses.
William received his Bachelor Commerce degree from Concordia University and a MBA from McMaster University.
He currently maintains an active role at the John Molson School of Business as Academic Advisor, for the world’s largest International Case Competition and Director of the Briscoe Business Ownership Center. In addition he remains an active member of the board of YPO Gold, Quebec.
Louis B. Martin brings more than 20 years of executive experience in leading the substantial growth of highly successful multi-million dollar companies. As a visionary leader, Louis has co-founded, led and successfully evolved DTI Software from a start-up company to a global leader providing games, GUI and software application to the inflight entertainment industry.
Throughout his career, Louis has implemented strategic plans resulting in cost optimisation, increased revenues, mergers & acquisitions, elevated efficiency and integration of subsidiaries.
His strong expertise in the Aerospace market combined with his achievements in financial management, international business development, market penetration, product design and development will contribute to the further growth and success of GGI.
Louis received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Quebec. He is a Canadian Chartered Professional Accountant and was honored with the Performance Entrepreneur Award by Université du Québec in Montréal.
In addition, he is the Co-founder of Groupe W and involve as Board Member and Investment Committee Member.
As a former member of the Control Management team at Bombardier Transport and Vice-President of Johnvince Foods, Stéphane Huot is the President of Termaco, a canadian company that has experienced exceptional growth under his leadership. This operations professional ensures that the business reaches its full potential.
One of Stéphane’s key strengths is knowing how to to build a strong team and managing to put forward the skills and synergy of his teams to optimize productivity and performance.
Recognized by his peers for his keen sense of analysis and innate talent in the art of developping strategies that will play an essential role in the growth of a business, Stéphane Huot has a diploma in administration from UQAM. Throughout the years, he gained solid experience in management, finance and operational control.
Mario is a leader who is passionate about innovation, competitive in nature and thrives in a results-oriented environment. With more than 30 years of experience in the Manufacturing field, Mario began his career in the printed circuit business (Circo Craft / Via System) mainly for the mobile services (Motorola) and in the automotive (Chrysler and GM) markets where he held the positions of Director of Engineering and Director of Operations for the Montreal sites.
Later, he joined the Venmar Ventilation team as Vice President of Operations where he acquired considerable experience in product development and LEAN manufacturing. He subsequently held the position of President of VKI Technology for 6 years. After which, Mario returned to Venmar, now Venmar Broan NuTone Canada, as Senior Vice President and President until April 2015.
Mr Tougas has a degree in Engineering from the Royal Military College of Canada. He was previously a board member of the Quebec Product Development Institute. Mario is currently an associate of the Québec Manufacturing fund and a board member of GGI Solutions.
Mr. St-Georges is a senior executive with extensive experience in high tech companies, particularly in the fields of Operations and Business Development including sales, manufacturing, service, support activities and all of the activities related to company strategic plan and actions.
Also involved, as Board Member on four other private companies in Québec. Mr. St-Georges held previous positions as Executive Vice-President Operations and Business Development, Chief Operating Officer at Miranda and was President and CEO of Positron Technologies. He was also a partner at Ernst & Young in their manufacturing consulting practice.
Luc St-George has and Engineering degree and an executive MBA from Queen’s University.
As an associate of the Quebec Manufacturing Fund, Marc Dufresne participates in the initial phase of the investment fund dedicated to the manufacturing sector. He is directly involved with the managers and owners of the companies in which the fund invests. With more than 30 years of experience in business management, Marc offers entrepreneurs high-level expertise to identify growth and profitable projects.
Previously, Marc Dufresne has worked for Rona Inc., McKesson Canada and Bell Canada, where he has completed numerous projects to optimize the supply chain and inventory management. He has been actively involved in the integration of companies, through mergers and acquisitions projects and demonstrated his ability to develop sales in a sustained and profitable manner.
Mr. Dufresne sits on the board of directors of several companies. He is a graduate of HEC and holds a master’s degree in Business Administration from McGill University.
Chantal is an experienced financial executive with over 20 years of experience, including 7 years as a public company CFO in Canada and in the U.S. focused on corporate development, M&A, capital raising and financial processes and analysis to improve operational performance and strategic decision making.
As an investment banker, she was instrumental in executing over 20 business transactions. As a public company CFO, she has built and managed finance and accounting teams and implemented the SOX and IFRS requirements. Chantal has spent the last 7 years as a CFO on demand in the high growth technology/life science space supporting the growth of the companies she works with. Before coming back to Montreal, she was Managing Director and CFO of JMP Securities/JMP Asset Management, a publicly traded full-service investment bank and asset management in San Francisco.
She holds a BBA in finance from HEC Montreal and an MBA from the University of Western Ontario, Ivey School of Business.
